Unlike AR steel (Abrasion Resistant) Armox is MADE for armor, not for lining dump trucks. The superior properties of Armox allow for the same protection level (.308 Win/5.56 Green Tip) as AR500, but in a thinner and lighter plate. These plates cost more to produce than AR500 plates.
